On Friday September 7, 2007 our Prime Minister, Sir John George Melvin Compton died at the age of 82yrs. The country is now mourning his death. He was a great man, a great politician. Loved by many and hated by many (thats the way it is when u are a politician.) He will be missed by many. LEts pray for our nation that we are able to get past this. And go into the future with the hope that his legacy will inspire others to strive for his level of success.

So this month is youth moonth in St. Lucia and as part of our annual youth month activities the Annual Youth Parliament sitting will be held on the 26 of April. I was selected to be one of the parliamentarians. We are to debate a resolution "that the government of St. Lucia should invest all necessary resources in a sustained attack on poverty with the aim of providing better life chances for our youth and the opportunity for them to participate meaningfully in and thereby accelerate National Development." What say you?Wish me luck.......

On Wednesday February 22, St. Lucia will be celebrating her 26th independence anniversary. I just want to say that although we have come a long way, we still have far to go. Being such a small country makes our struggles alot more difficult but still we hang on.So to all mey fellow country men and women Happy Independence.
